Parents For Better Beginnings Model
Parents For Better Beginnings is a special blend of early learning (primary and secondary prevention) and early years (early intervention) programs and services.
In our early learning programs we use the Ontario Ministry of Education's Four Foundations of Learning when serving expectant families and families with children up to age four living in Regent Park and surrounding neighbourhoods:
1. Belonging | Every child has a sense of belonging when he or she is connected to others and contributes to their world.
2. Well-Being | Every child is developing a sense of self, health and well-being.
3. Engagement | Every child is an active and engaged learner who explores the world with body, mind and senses.
4. Expression | Every child is a capable communicator who expresses himself or herself.
In our early years social work, infant mental health and child development clinic we provide extra support to parents to improve their quality of life and special needs guidance regarding their children's development.
