The YEA! program is designed to provide middle school children in the Regent Park area with a safe place to learn, thrive, and get prepared for high school during the summer. Students from 12-14 years of age will be exposed to a summer of “hands on” learning opportunities, trips to post secondary institutions, science related activities, opportunities to engage in their community, and gain a stronger sense of overall civic awareness. Various workshops will expose virtual reality, urban planning, high school readiness, scholarships and financial planning, creative writing, recreation and nutrition, and post-secondary planning.
The YEA! program will provide students with an opportunity to learn and engage in a unique learning environment. The programming will be primarily delivered at our 585 Dundas Street East location inside the Daniels Spectrum. The program will run from daily from Monday to Friday starting July 6th to August 14th, 2020.
