We are a dynamic community-based health centre promoting social justice and health equity in the Regent Park neighbourhood and the Downtown East area of Toronto. We operate out of several locations and provide a wide variety of services including: primary health care, chiropody, physiotherapy, health promotion, social work, community health, immigrant and refugee services, harm reduction and homeless programs, Pathways to Education, infant and child development programs, parenting programs, youth outreach and employment services.

Job Summary:

The Manager of Integrated Mental Health Services is responsible for ensuring the delivery of trauma-informed case management, system navigation and short-term counselling services to clients in vulnerable sectors including individuals with addiction issues, who may have experienced intimate partner violence, sexual assault, history of child abuse and other trauma.

The Integrated Mental Health Services Manager oversees daily operations, providing leadership and staff support to ensure efficiency and quality of services to clients. The Manager works with Mental Health service providers, including the HART Hub program workers, to identify opportunities to improve and expand existing services and capacity.

This is a Full Time Permanent Position, 35 hours per week, plus Benefits and HOOPP Pension

Salary Range: $79,525 – $95,810

Responsibilities include

  • Provide strong clinical and administrative leadership to an interdisciplinary team of health professionals for the day-to-day clinical and general operations of the program ensuring high quality programming, and implementation of best practices.
  • Oversee delivery of harmonized services and intake procedures aligning with an integrated model for mental health and case management.
  • Lead program planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. Oversee program initiatives, tracking key metrics to help identify changes needed.
  • Assist in the development/implementation of policies and procedures for all operational areas of the program.
  • Serve as liaison between the program and external agencies; build partnerships to coordinate and maximize system resources aligned with strategic priorities of the organization.
  • Identify, plan and develop new programs and initiatives.
  • Prepare reports requested by funders and the agency, program related records/documentation and process financial documents.
  • Identify, evaluate and control risks to the program, develop solutions as appropriate

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Master’s degree in a related field (Social Work, Psychotherapy, Psychology, Nursing etc.)
  • Member in good standing with a regulatory body (e.g. the OCSWSSW or CRPO.)
  • 5+ years’ experience leading and supporting mental health projects and managing teams.
  • Significant experience working with populations experiencing complex health and social issues, with a preference for experience in a counselling or case management community-based setting
  • Experience working with evidence-based interventions, principles and strategies, with complex and marginalized populations
  • Experience with an electronic client record system (PSS an asset)
  • Highly committed to trauma-informed principles, practices, and innovative approaches in the delivery of case management and counselling services and familiarity with harm reduction approaches
  • High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis and reasoning, and effective problem solving
  • Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast paced/changing environment.
  • Knowledge about PHIPPA and the current health system transformation is an asset.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; proficiency in a second language is an asset
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint)
  • An ability to effectively collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to effectively manage complaints and de-escalate and manage conflicts
  • Ability to work collaboratively within and across teams and organizations
  • Understanding of health equity and the social determinants of health and wellbeing
  • Understanding of Anti-oppression principles and ability to work effectively with people of various cultural, age and economic backgrounds
  • Interest and appreciation for the Regent Park area and issues affecting the community
  • Knowledge of the Regent Park area and issues affecting the community
  • Support for the mission and values of RPCHC
  • Must be fully vaccinated for the protection of clients and staff
