HART Hub – Homelessness and Addiction Recovery Treatment

What is the HART Hub?

The HART Hub provides integrated health and social supports for people experiencing homelessness, mental health, substance use, and other complex challenges in Downtown East Toronto.

Co-led by Regent Park CHC and Fred Victor, and supported by the Downtown East Toronto OHT, the Hub connects clients with outreach workers, case managers, and other health care providers.

Who We Serve

  • Individuals aged 16 and older who are experiencing complex substance use and/or mental health challenges.
  • People living in or connected to Downtown East Toronto
  • Those ready to engage towards treatment and recovery

Drop In Programs:

Drop In Case Management

Provides immediate, low-barrier support for individuals experiencing homelessness, are precariously housed, experiencing mental health challenges or substance use challenges. These services provide system navigation to support access to housing workers, income navigation (ODSP/OW), and basic needs like food, clothing and crisis management without requiring appointments.

SMART Recovery

SMART Recovery is the leading evidence – informed approach to overcoming addictive behaviors and leading a balanced life. SMART is stigma – free and emphasizes self – empowerment

Hep C Group

Tuesday 1:00pm to 3:00pm

Assists people living with Hepatitis C, who use drugs, alcohol, struggle with mental health, have HIV/HVC co-infection, and have difficulty accessing Hep C treatment and care. On site testing offered.

RGI Housing Support

W.O.W Clinic

This program gives access to services such as clinical care with physicians, nurses, and nurse practitioners to homeless clients with no appointments needed and minimal waiting time.

Sex Worker Drop-In

For women, trans and non-binary people who have engaged in sex work in the past and/or who are currently engaged in sex work. Offers on the spot access to clinical supports, social work supports, referrals, coffee and snacks.

Art Therapy/Social Recreational Group

A creative space to foster self-expression, support emotional regulation and promote mental well-being, social recreational activities to reduce social isolation

Overdose Response & Naloxone Training

Available by Request

Community Overdose Response Training will be held in the Hart Hub Space Last Tuesday of every month 1:00pm

We can support with group training as well as individual training

Delivered by HART Hub Outreach Workers

Drop In Programs:

DBT – Dialectical Behaviour Therapy

The DBT Skills Group offers 10 psychoeducational group sessions where individuals will learn and practice skills to manage emotions, deal with challenging situations, and improve relationships using skills from DBT. Topics include: Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotional Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness.

Seeking Safety Group Program

A supportive 8 Week group to help you stay safe, manage stress and take care of yourself. Seeking Safety is an evidence-informed group that helps individuals learn coping skills to safely manage trauma and substance use in a supportive and non-judgemental environment.
