Community development is a collaborative engagement process that supports community members who come together to identify neighbourhood based priority health and safety concerns, take collective action and generate effective solutions to address common problems.

Community wellbeing (economic, social, environmental and cultural) often evolves from this type of collective action being taken at a grassroots level.
